The cost of a Finish the Wall project begins with estimating the overall cost of the trip. Things like airfare, transportation, lodging, meals, insurance, taxes, and baggage fees are estimated and passed on to trip participants who raise their own funds and make payment for their trip.
The less glamorous side of these projects involves assessing and securing funds for the project itself. Expenses for construction materials, project coordinators, interpreters, and operating costs are all taken into consideration. The FTW leadership and development team are at work throughout the year to communicate the need and develop ongoing resources to fund each project.
We appreciate all that our Finish the Wall family has donated thus far! Our remaining need to close out 2017 and fully fund our next project is $75,000. We need your help to do this!

Finish the Wall is headed to Nicaragua in 2018 to complete a church in Santa Matilda, Nicaragua. The church was planted by the leaders of New Song Mission Nicaragua, a ministry Finish the Wall partnered with in 2013. Pastor Walter Varelas and his wife Claudia, lead a church that has been under construction for 8 years and serves a large number of children in the community. Programs such as school reinforcement, a feeding center, recreational activities, and education programs, are all a part of their vision to provide a healthy place for people to be taught the Word of God.
There will be four teams in January and February 2018 to complete:
- The roof structure of the existing facility
- Two multi-purpose classrooms
- Two bathrooms and a kitchen
- The existing storage area and the security wall around the facility.
- The electrical, plumbing, and septic systems.
